چکیده
Conventional strategies against hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain unsatisfactory due to its invasiveness and poor prognosis. Herein, it is utmost imperative require alternative modalities with less invasiveness, good clinical efficacy, low side effects. A combination of photothermal therapy (PTT) photodynamic (PDT) an emerging modality refractory HCC. To date a majority PTT/PDT paradigms has disappointing therapeutic efficiency, owing targeting ability nanotheranostic agents or imprecise irradiation lasers. In this study, HCC-specific aptamer chlorine e6 (Ce6)-modified polydopamine (PDA) nanospheres decoration Pt quantum dots (termed [email protected] bioconjugates) are explored combat HCC in vivo by synergy PTT PDT modalities. The bioconjugates can effectively accumulate into tumor sites specifically binding Glypican-3 (GPC3)-positive cells, core PDA exerts strong optical absorption near-infrared (NIR) region enable performance. Meanwhile, the moieties Ce6 subsequently serve as photosensitizers fluorophores generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) guide phototherapeutics, respectively. current study finally suggests that act protocol for programmable ablation believed will have significant impact on translation promising therapy.

Polarized fluorescent nanospheres.
Fluorescent beads (nanoparticles, nanospheres) are commonly used in fluorescence spectroscopy and microscopy. Due to the random distribution of dye and high dye to nanoparticle ratio, the fluorescence polarization observed from the beads is low. Therefore beads are not used for polarization study. We demonstrate that photoselective bleaching creates beads with highly polarized fluorescence. Fir...
